How to Get Involved
There are a number of avenues for involvement with the Great Valley Center’s Energy & Climate Initiatives. Opportunities exist for local governments, community-based organizations, professionals, college students, and volunteers. The GVC is actively recruiting local governments from the following areas to participate in the Green Communities Program, at no cost to the jurisdiction:
- Local governments in San Joaquin County
- Local governments in Stanislaus County
- Local governments in Merced County
- Local governments in Madera County
- Local governments in Fresno County
- Local governments in Kings County
- Local governments in Tulare County
- Local governments in Kern County

Small-Medium Business Operations
The ECEP program also offers support to Central Valley businesses. Contact GVC today for more information.
While there are no Energy & Climate programs currently available for community-based organizations, we would enjoy speaking with you regarding your needs and/or ideas for future projects.
There are currently no openings for professional staff in the Energy & Climate Initiatives team.
College Students / Recent Graduates
The ECEP internship program will begin recruiting in January to fill up to 16 positions in the San Joaquin Valley throughout 2015. Visit the Internships page for more information. Screening will not begin until March.
The GVC continually accepts applications from interested parties, so feel free to send one in today.
The GVC always welcomes volunteers who wish to assist the organization with our outreach efforts. In addition, shadowing and research opportunities may arise from time to time.
