How to Get Involved
There are a number of avenues for involvement with the Great Valley Center’s Energy & Climate Initiatives. Opportunities exist for local governments, community-based organizations, professionals, college students, and volunteers. The GVC is actively recruiting local governments from the following areas to participate in the Green Communities Program, at no cost to the jurisdiction:
- Local governments in San Joaquin County
- Local governments in Stanislaus County
- Local governments in Merced County
- Local governments in Madera County

Small-Medium Business Operations
The Agricultural Energy Efficiency (AgEE) program also offers support to Central Valley businesses. Contact GVC today for more information.
While there are no Energy & Climate programs currently available for community-based organizations, we would enjoy speaking with you regarding your needs and/or ideas for future projects.
GVC is currently considering candidates for an entry-level Program Coordinator position. We are seeking a mix of relevant education and 1-2 years experience in the energy/climate field. See the Program Coordinator position description for more information. Screening begins immediately.
College Students / Recent Graduates
The Agricultural Energy Efficiency (AgEE) / Small-Medium Business Energy Efficiency (SMB) program will begin recruiting in November to fill four (4) to six (6) openings for the winter/spring cohort. See the AgEE/SMB position description for more information. Screening will not begin until November.
The GVC continually accepts applications from interested parties, so feel free to send one in today.
The GVC always welcomes volunteers who wish to assist the organization with our outreach efforts. In addition, shadowing and research opportunities may arise from time to time.
