Appointed July 2000 as Director of the Leopold Center for Sustainable Agriculture following a nationwide search. At the time of his appointment, he managed the 3,500-acre certified organic Kirschenmann Family Farms in south central North Dakota.

Center for Rural Entrepreneurship (Lincoln, NE)

Don Macke is Co-Director of the Center for Rural Entrepreneurship, a Rural Policy Research Institute National Research and Policy Center with founding support from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Center. Don’s current work focuses on entrepreneurship in rural America.
