Jerry Uhland
California Agriboard

Mr. Jerry Uhland is a principal member and currently serves as President & CEO of California Agriboard, LLC ("CalAg"). CalAg is a company whose primary business will be the production of Medium Density Fiberboard ("MDF") from rice straw. Mr. Uhland is an inventor of the rice straw based patent pending process, of which, upon completion of the manufacturing facility, will utilize straw from approximately 100,000 acres of rice land annually. Mr. Uhland's experiences include owner/operator of a diversified 2,400 acre farming operation, and in 1992 was California's largest Calmochi (sweet rice) producer.

Prior to his agricultural operations, Mr. Uhland was Plant Manager for Indian Harvest Specialtifoods, Inc., a Minnesota-based company that expanded to Colusa, CA. As head of California Operations, Mr. Uhland was involved in all levels of research and development and ultimately developed the proprietary process technology that is currently utilized in the multi-grain food processing and packaging plant. Mr. Uhland became a grower of specialty rice's for the company while developing and operating a rice and grain experimental station for new product development. Mr. Uhland attended California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and California State University, Chico, with a BS in Agricultural Science.

He is a member of the Composite Panel Association, Composite Wood Council and actively serves on the Industry Advisory Committee of the UC Davis - USDA Rice Straw Harvesting & Handling Project.

Married to his wife Barbara, they have three children; Fielding age 12, Alyse age 11, and Haley age 8. They live in Marysville, Ca.
