- This year's harvest of California walnuts will be the biggest ever, according to a forecast by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Walnuts are one of the top three crops in the Sacramento Valley. Sacramento Bee article
-Corning's city council and those in attendance got an earful on Tuesday during the city council meeting concerning the removal of the Red Bluff Diversion Dam and the economic impacts resulting from that action, from Red Bluff's City Manager Martin Nichols, and Jeffrey P.
