The Great Valley Solar Partnership was launched to help this region achieve its "solar" potential. It is a partnership based organization, made up of local universities, non-profits, businesses, and individuals. The Partnership is a member of the U.S. Department of Energy's Million Solar Roof Program. The goal of the Partnership is to encourage the installation of 4 megawatts worth of solar rooftops by 2010.
