will use the following criteria to make their
recommendations. Applicants should review these
criteria to ensure that all points are sufficiently
addressed in their application.
Overall Assessment
- Does the applicant clearly demonstrate the
relationship of the program's goals and purpose
for educational
success?
- Does the program provide K-12 students
with opportunities to experience success
and to relate that success to completing his/her
high school education?
- Does the program provide
K-12 students with information or experiences
that assist in removing barriers to achieving
success in the school setting?
Purpose & Goals
- Is the program clearly defined?
- Are the goals
measurable and realistic?
Potential for Accomplishment
- Is the program realistic in terms of what
is expected to be accomplished?
Program Activities
- Are the activities well-planned, specific
and directly related to the program goals?
Program Budget
- Is the funding requested reasonable for
the activities planned? Is the budget
sufficiently detailed?
Program Evaluation
- Is the program evaluation process clearly
defined and realistic?
Priority Rating
- Does the program incorporate one or
more of the priority activities
described on the overview
page?
