The Grants Review Committee will use the following criteria to make their recommendations. Applicants should review these criteria to ensure that all points are sufficiently addressed in their application.

Overall Assessment

  • Does the applicant clearly demonstrate the relationship of the program's goals and purpose for educational success?
  • Does the program provide K-12 students with opportunities to experience success and to relate that success to completing his/her high school education?
  • Does the program provide K-12 students with information or experiences that assist in removing barriers to achieving success in the school setting?

Purpose & Goals

  • Is the program clearly defined?
  • Are the goals measurable and realistic?

Potential for Accomplishment

  • Is the program realistic in terms of what is expected to be accomplished?

Program Activities

  • Are the activities well-planned, specific and directly related to the program goals?

Program Budget

  • Is the funding requested reasonable for the activities planned? Is the budget sufficiently detailed?

Program Evaluation

  • Is the program evaluation process clearly defined and realistic?

Priority Rating

  • Does the program incorporate one or more of the priority activities described on the overview page?
