Since 1999, IDEAL Alumni include
community organizers, employees of public,
private,
and non-profit agencies and businesses, and elected
and appointed officials. Fellows have developed
friendships and established a network of regional
contacts and resources. As alumni, they maintain
these relationships through participation in the
IDEAL alumni network and alumni gatherings.

Thirteen alumni serve on the
Board of Directors. Officers are: Mary Lou Gonzalez
[99]- President; Anthony Yrigollen [02]- Vice President;
Manuel Alvarado [02]- Treasurer; Nannette Potter
[03]- Secretary. List of members: Ruby Aglibot
[01], Mary Alice Escarsega [00], Holly Hart [03],
Dana Karcher [03], Arturo Lomeli [03], Graciela
Martinez [99], Francisco Mireles [01], Deborah Thomas
[03], and Katie Villegas [03].

The Online Alumni Network includes announcements
for local and regional events, and news
and updates.

as President Elect of the California Urban
Forests Council for 2004. She will assume
the Presidency in 2005. The Mission of California
Urban Forests Council (CaUFC) is to promote
the proper planning, planting, and management
of urban and community forests to maximize
the quality of life for every Californian.
Through its efforts to promote urban forestry,
CaUFC has grown to an organization of over
300 members from the public, private and non-profit
sectors, and continues to expand its outreach
to the growing network of people interested
in urban forestry. Today, there are urban
forests councils modeled after CaUFC in most
every state in America. |
