Over the course of two days, you will see firsthand how this rapidly changing region is grappling with critical economic, social and environmental issues. From growth, health care, and water to immigration, arts and education, you will leave with a greater understanding of this region's challenges.

Beginning in downtown Sacramento, your guided charter bus will include visits to the Central Valley Water Project, the new UC Merced campus, farmworker housing, overnight at a farm, a booming housing development, rural towns in the South Valley's 'Orange Belt' and the Pacific Flyway and much more. At each point, you will be joined by leading experts available to answer questions and share insights from all sides on these pressing economic, social and environmental issues.

The tour package is $500 and includes meals, overnight hotel accommodations at Harris Ranch, and background materials.
