Biography : Sheila Brady

Sheila Brady, a licensed landscape architect and planner with 30 years experience in the field of environmental design, is currently a Board member of Scenic California, and Consulting Principal to LSA Associates, Inc. As a consultant to Scenic California, she is managing the California Scenic Conservation Initiative Project.

Ms. Brady has managed numerous resource planning projects, such as the Fitzgerald Marine Reserve Master Plan for San Mateo County and the Tahoe Basin Regional Plan Thresholds Update for the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency. As President of Brady and Associates, she directed key resource planning projects, including the award winning Los Vaqueros Watershed Resource Management Plan, the Vallejo-Benicia-Fairfield Open Space Plan, the Lake Tahoe Scenic Quality Implementation Program, and the Grant and Levin Parks Resource Management Plan. She has served as Principal-in-charge for such diverse projects as the Point Molate Naval Station Reuse Plan, the North Richmond Shoreline Specific Plan and EIR, the Downtown Larkspur Specific Plan, and the Palo Alto Medical Foundation Specific Plan and EIR. Her special areas of expertise include scenic resource evaluation, land use planning, and resource planning and management. She was author of scenic quality thresholds for the Tahoe Regional Plan, and continues as mentor and frequent consultant in the Tahoe Basin for scenic quality issues. Ms. Brady served as a member of the Design Review Board for the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission, and a member of the University of California’s Design Review Committee, and is an Advisory Board member for Trust for Public Land.
