Biography : Ron Friesen

Ron Friesen has over 31 years of experience in air quality planning and management in both the government and private sector. Mr. Friesen's experience with government includes 25 years with the California Air Resources Board (CARB) where he was the Assistant Chief of the Stationary Source Division and five years with the California Department of Water Resources as a Mechanical Engineer. Mr. Friesen is currently the Executive Director of the California Stationary Fuel Cell Collaborative. The Collaborative membership includes over 20 organizations and agencies that are focused on the commercialization of stationary fuel cells. The mission of the Collaborative is to promote stationary fuel cell commercialization as a means towards reducing or eliminating air pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions, increase energy efficiency, promote energy reliability and security, promote energy diversity and energy independence. Prior to becoming the Executive Director, Mr. Friesen served five years as a consultant to government and private industry on air quality issues.
