Biography: Nadine L. Scott

California Association of Resource Conservation Districts (CARCD)

Nadine L. Scott is President of the California Association of Resource Conservation Districts [CARCD]. She is also an attorney, Chair of the City of Oceanside's Integrated Waste Commission, and serves on the Board of the Women's Resource Center.
Miss Scott is a public interest attorney and advocate on behalf of Resource Conservation Districts [RCDs] in California and works with various partners and legislators at the local, state and federal level as well as with tribes on natural resources issues. She has served as Regional Board Member, Policy Chair and Vice-President of CARCD. She also serves on a local RCD, the Resource Conservation District of Greater San Diego County, as the treasurer/secretary.

RCDs are local units of government formed under the California Public Resources Code to deliver voluntary technical, planning and outreach services to private landowners and landusers, including agriculture and the ag/urban interface. District work on water quality issues, education and watershed restoration projects throughout California, addressing local issues and needs. NRCS and Districts have been partners for over 50 years, delivering locally-led, natural resources conservation.

Nadine also serves as an alternate board member at the National level on the National Association of Conservation District's (NACD) board.

In her spare time, she takes long walks and communes with nature along with her Labrador Retriever, Jade, in Oceanside, CA.
