Lasgoity
Chateau Lasgoity is a small winery located in Madera,
California owned and operated by John E. Lasgoity and Michele
Lasgoity, siblings. Michele is responsible for marketing
and shares direct sales with John; John is the winemaker.
The winery is located on the property which their great-grandparents
purchased in 1903 and near the home which was built in 1906.
The winery’s inaugural crush was in the Fall of 2000,
sales began in the Summer of 2001 and the Tasting Room opened
in November of 2001.
1996-Present: Operations Manager,
John M. Lasgoity Ranches
The Lasgoity Family business is a diversified production
agriculture business which produces beef cattle, wine grapes,
sheep, wool, cotton and alfalfa. Michele’s responsibilities
include managing the cattle operation of the business and
performing the financial and administrative activities for
all operations.
1984 - 1996: Hewlett Packard
Company
Michele’s last position before resigning from Hewlett
Packard in 1996 was Controller for the Santa Clara Division
of HP. Prior to that position, she worked as a Manager in
the Corporate Financial Reporting Group at the corporate
headquarters in Palo Alto.
