Biography : Bob linscheid
For the past ten years, Bob Linscheid has been very involved
in the marketing and business attraction of companies to
Butte County. He has operated his own public relations &
marketing consulting firm specializing in business attraction,
retention and community relations.
In 1996, Bob joined with several local businessmen in the
start-up of the Chico Heat Professional Baseball Club. He
served as the Vice President and General Manager for the
first two years of the club’s existence. He served
as President for the Western Baseball League for three seasons
from 1999 to 2001.
His firm also administers several economic development
organizations including Butte Economic Partnership, Butte
County Economic Development Corporation, Chico Economic
Planning Corporation (CEPCO) and TeamChico.
Prior to starting his own company, Bob Linscheid &
Associates, he served fourteen years as the Chief Executive
Officer of three different chambers of commerce. Seven of
those years were as CEO for the Chico Chamber of Commerce.
He received his BA and Masters degree in Public Administration
from Chico State University and served a term as Associated
Student Body President.
He also is a graduate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute
for Organization Management and served a term as chairman
of the Board of Regents at the UCLA Institute.
Bob has received numerous service awards including the
College of Business Person of the Year, Executive of the
Year for the Western Association of Chamber of Commerce
Executives and is a Paul Harris Fellow Recipient in Rotary
International. He is also a founder of Leadership Chico
and served as President of Chico Rotary in 2001-2002.
He is currently District Coordinator for the Polio Eradication
Campaign that will raise $600,000 for the eradication this
deadly disease.
Bob is the father of four children.
