Summary
The theme of this year’s conference is Creating
Better Futures, referring to both the increasing
knowledge of the importance of the region in California’s
future and encouraging Valley residents to consider
the challenges of the future and how best to address
them. We expect more than 800 business, community,
and government leaders from throughout the region
to attend. The event will include plenary and
concurrent sessions and workshops on a variety
of issues of interest to people in the Central
Valley as well as arts and entertainment venues,
informational and business exhibits and a bookstore.
This year’s speakers include a special
review of potential regional scenarios—tales
that could tell the story of the Central Valley
in 2025, a plenary presentation by Dr. Philip
Lee, on opportunities to improve the health of
the region, and the motivational magic of Billy
Riggs. |
