West Side Index By News Staff Sunday, July 6, 2008 The Stanislaus Council of Governments (StanCOG) will host a town hall meeting in Newman Thursday, July 10, as part of the San Joaquin Valley Blueprint project, a regional effort to help San Joaquin Valley residents develop a vision for accommodating growth in coming years. The meeting will be held from 7-9 p.m. at the L.J. Newman Memorial Building. Participants will take part in exercises and discussions that look at potential development patterns and rate StanCOG's scenarios for future growth. Refreshments will be served. The meeting is one of a series which follow town hall gatherings last year, where Stanislaus County residents discussed what they liked about their communities and what they wanted their communities to offer their children and grandchildren. |

The San Joaquin Valley Blueprint Planning Process is a joint effort of the Council of Fresno Governments, the Kern Council of Governments, the Kings County Association of Governments, Madera County Transportation Commission, the Merced County Association of Governments, San Joaquin Council of Governments, Stanislaus Council of Governments, the Tulare County Association of Governments and the Great Valley Center. |
